Every public access on the Seagrove stretch, honestly

Criteria, printed as always: every access named on this page appears on the county DMO's own beach access list, and every amenity we state is the county's listing, not our guess. Where the county lists nothing, we say nothing. 30A.com, for its part, credits Seagrove with more public access points than any other spot on the road; the county's list is how that claim cashes out on the ground.

The two full-service entries

Santa Clara Regional Beach Access, at 3468 E Scenic Hwy 30A east of the CR 395 corner, is the stretch's workhorse: seasonal lifeguards, parking, a beach conditions flag, ADA accessible restrooms and boardwalk, a water fountain, and beach wheelchairs available, per the county's page. The county's access index adds that Regional Beach Access lifeguards are on duty between March and October. Seagrove Regional Beach Access is the second full-service entry, listed with restrooms, parking, ADA parking, an ADA boardwalk, and ADA restrooms. The seven walkovers

The rest of the stretch belongs to neighborhood accesses, the category the county describes as primarily for walk-up traffic: San Juan (48 S San Juan Ave) at the Old Seagrove end, One Seagrove near the landmark tower, Ramsgate, Sugar Dunes, the two Eastern Lake walkovers flanking the lake, and Walton Dunes (258 Beach Front Trl) out east. The county lists no amenities at these: no restrooms, no lifeguards, no lots. That is the trade, and it is a good one when what you want is the quiet version of the same sand. Note that individual entries can close temporarily for work; the county's official access map is the live authority on what is open today.

The rules that actually matter on the sand

Flags first: South Walton runs a beach flag system, double red means the water is closed, red is high hazard, yellow medium, purple dangerous marine life, and the South Walton Fire District is the authority to check before every swim, guarded or not. Dogs on the beach require a Walton County permit available to residents and property owners through Code Compliance, so visiting dogs are a no on the sand, however good they are. Beach bonfires are permitted through the South Walton Fire District, covered in our bonfire guide. And beach driving happens at exactly two accesses in the county, Grayton Beach and Inlet Beach, under a resident-gated permit lottery, which means it does not happen here.

Using the list like a local

The rhythm that works: a regional access for the full-service days, the nearest walkover for morning walks and sunsets, bikes over cars wherever possible since the 30A path is signed for bikes and pedestrians, and the flag checked every single time.
